Finally you have purchase  a camera but you have still not know how to use it or not familiar to the basic functionality of camera.

Photography actually is  a science just like an art. but yet a large majority don’t knowledge how does a camera work? and how to use camera to take better pictures .

  During the age  of its invention images was taken only in a room and could not be portable; the camera was earlier called “camera-obscura” its mean “dark chamber”. The first of this type was invented by a scientist called Johannes Kepler. But this apparatus was very large and could be portable only as a room.

A  compact and portable camera was introduced in 1685. Then After some  years of work by many famous people, the first color photo was invented by the famous physicist James Clark Maxwell and Thomas Sutton. Then in early 1920s, came the invention of the video made in cameras. This technology has eventually grown in such way that in this 21st century, digital cameras have been replaced by these ordinary film cameras.

Before the learn working of camera some term should have knowledge that as following:-

• Light: It is an essential part of any image but there are many different types of light. important is how we use this light.

• Subject: it mean that what we take photos of and refers to how we take  the image.

• Optics: It means lenses, that are used to focus the light and capture an image.
• Aperture: It controls the amount of light getting into the camera and the depth of field of an image.
• Time: Time refer to the shutter speed and how time it takes to record an image.
• Medium: It is that where we record the captured image on to.

Basic Parts of a camera

• Mechanical part (camera body).
• Optical part (lens section).
• The chemical part (film).

Mechanical part (camera body).

The camera body is type of a light proof box. The controls for exposure settings and other effects etc.  are located on the camera body. (Also Touch LCD Screens camera may  have more controls available right on the LCD screen).in side the camera body is consist of shutter and image sensor.

Optical part (lens section).

The optical part  of the camera is called the lens. In simple way, a lens is just a curved piece of glass or plastic. Its work only is to take the beams of light bouncing off of an object and redirect them so they come together to form a real image.

The chemical part (film)

The film part of camera is a very thin roll of light-sensitive which is placed at the Lenses  image plane . When the Camera is ready to take pictures, many devices combine to ensure that the film is exposed to the image formed by the lens. When the film is exposed to the image coming from the lens it store the image. and it  Before and after use, the film is stored in a light-tight film holder.
